1. Who we are

Terafin Financial Technologies is the trading name of Terafin Software Services LLC, registered in Dubai Hills, Dubai, UAE. For the purposes of this policy, and under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 (the PDPL), Terafin Software Services LLC is the data controller responsible for personal data submitted through this website. 2. What we collect

This website collects personal data in one place: the contact form on our Talk to Us page. When you submit that form, we collect four fields you provide directly:

  • Your name
  • Your business email address
  • Your bank or company name
  • Your company website

If you choose to describe what you are trying to solve, we also collect the text of that message. We do not collect any other personal data through this website, and we do not use tracking pixels or advertising cookies on this site.

3. Why we collect it

We use the information you submit for one purpose: to understand your enquiry and respond to it. Specifically, we use it to assess whether our platform fits your institution, to schedule a briefing call if appropriate, and to follow up on the conversation you started. We do not use your data for marketing, we do not add you to a mailing list without a separate opt in, and we do not build a profile of you from it.

4. Legal basis for processing

Our legal basis for processing your data is your explicit consent, given at the point you submit the form. You give that consent voluntarily. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing hello@terafin.com and asking us to delete your data. We do not process your data on any other legal basis, and we do not carry out automated decision making or profiling with it.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing or commercial purposes. The only party outside Terafin with any access to your submission is our email hosting provider, which processes messages sent to hello@terafin.com in the ordinary course of receiving email. That provider does not use your data for any purpose of its own.

6. How long we keep it

We retain enquiry data for 24 months from the date of submission, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or an active business relationship requires us to keep it longer. After 24 months, we delete it, unless you have become a client, in which case a separate retention period applies under our client agreement.

7. How we protect it

This website is served over HTTPS, and access to our email systems is restricted to authorised Terafin staff. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No system connected to the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we do not treat that as an excuse to under invest in protecting your information.

In the event of a personal data breach that poses a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the UAE Data Office within 72 hours of becoming aware of it, as required under UAE PDPL. If the breach is likely to result in a high risk to you personally, we will also notify you directly without undue delay.

8. Your rights under UAE PDPL

Under Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021, you have six rights over the personal data we hold about you.

  • Right to access. You can ask us what data we hold about you and how we use it.
  • Right to correction. You can ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Right to erasure. You can ask us to delete your data where we no longer have a reason to keep it.
  • Right to restrict processing. You can ask us to pause processing your data while we resolve a question about it, such as its accuracy.
  • Right to data portability. You can ask us for a copy of your data in a format you can transfer elsewhere.
  • Right to object. You can object to our processing of your data, including any automated processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@terafin.com. We will respond within the timeframe set out in section 13 below.

9. Cookies

This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. We do not run Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or any third-party tracking script on this site. Where this site is served through WordPress, WordPress itself sets a small number of functional cookies, for example to remember whether you have dismissed a notice, or to support a comment form. Those cookies are functional only and are not used to track you across other websites.

10. Links to other websites

This website links to third-party sites, including regulator websites, news sources, and our technology partners. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before submitting any personal data to them.

11. Children's data

This website is intended for business use by adults working at banks and financial institutions. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and this site is not directed at children.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when our data practices change or when the law requires it. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the date of the most recent version. We encourage you to check back periodically.
